Autumn kick-off.

Road Trip

A New Year
Yesterday, my babe started second grade. *tear*
It seriously felt like she was just starting kindergarten, and now- NOW she’s a BIG kid, about to learn BIG new things.

Hospital Ups and Downs
Look at my growing boy! William is a whopping 19 pounds, 11ounces. I’m constantly amazed at how quickly my little dude is progressing.
This was a A+ doctor’s visit. No blood work. No labs. No bad news.
William’s test results came back- he’s negative for Cystic Fibrosis. Awesome!
We’re going to run more tests at his six month mark to see if everything is looking...

A new memory

Finally. 6 weeks in the Air Force’s Non-Commissioned Officer Academy (NCOA) culminated with the usual fanfare at the Elmendorf Base Theater. A 48 hour Saturday
I love it when Fridays feel like Saturdays. It sets the pace for a perfectly perfect long weekend. It’s totally a placebo effect of having two Saturdays in one, but I dig it.
I also love it when I get a major urge to clean. Yeah, I said the C word- CLEAN! And of course, it’s even better when the urge hits me on a Friday- for the reasons above.

Friday afternoon I received a phone call from Peds saying that I’ve been approved to go downtown for further testing on William. This test will be ran for Cystic Fibrosis. Scary, right? North Carolina. Part 1
Several weeks ago Krysta, William, and I hopped on an 18 hour plane flight bound for NC. Dancing in the rain.
Well, my spoonful of sunshine has disappeared somewhere behind the mountains. Not only did the sun go away, but the bottom of the sky fell out! So, we did what anyone would do when they’re couped up in the house- we read, played games, curled up and watched TV, while mommy drank buckets of coffee.

Summer rolls on.

Summer kickoff.

Ahh Summer
Yes indeed, summer has arrived. It’s that special time of year where colors pop in shades of hot pink, yellow, and turquoise and shoes are prohibited.
